2013 SIPA Awards

AHC Media won multiple awards in the 2013 Specialized Information Publishers Association’s annual journalism competition. The awards exemplify the terrific work done across all of AHC’s brands. As many of you are aware, AHC is the winningest healthcare information provider – by far – in the more than 30-year history of SIPA and its predecessor organizations.

The awards were given out at a ceremony at SIPA’s annual conference in Washington, D.C., and covered content that was published in 2012. The following AHC Media newsletters and blog were among the top resources awarded and recognized by SIPA:

AHC’s blog, Hospital Report, received a Second Place award in the Best Blog or Commentary category. Contributors to Hospital Report include: Joy Dickinson, Jill Drachenberg, Leslie Hamlin and Russ Underwood.

Pediatric Trauma Care: A Clinical Reference for Physicians and Nurses Caring for the Acutely Injured Child won Third Place in the Best One-Topic Special Publication category. The emergency resource was edited by Ann Dietrich, MD, Leslie Coplin and Neill Kimball.

Hospital Case Management received a Third Place award in Best Interpretive or Analytical Reporting for a package in the April 2012 issue focusing on uninsured patients that was written by Mary Booth Thomas and edited by Russ Underwood.
