Product Description

Are you responsible for accreditation or compliance but feel at a loss when looking at fire stop or talking about generators? You know the life safety part of your survey is going to be longer this year, but do you still feel unprepared? Everything you wanted to know about LS and EC described in a way that these are obvious and direct and that will allow you to review your own compliance with these standards. Checklist tools will be provided that can be used by clinical or floor staff to assess their own compliance and identify compliance issues before The Joint Commission can find them. In addition, key acronyms like ILSM, PFI, eBBI will be defined and their importance articulated.

During the course of this 90-minute webinar, former Joint Commission surveyor and former director of operations at The Joint Commission Jennifer Cowel will clarify the life safety and environment issues that cause hospitals to have Immediate Threat to Life issued. She will provide strategies and tools to assess your own compliance with the top scored LS and EC standards so your patients and staff are safe, you maintain accreditation and receive Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.
