Sponsored by Emergency Medicine Reports, ED Management, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Reports, and Trauma Reports
Every ED and inpatient service must deal with domestic violence. Affecting all age groups, abuse can be devastating to both the patient and the family. Mandated reporting for professionals makes early identification and liberal referrals a critical aspect of every emergency medicine, in-hospital and ambulatory practice for any practicing clinician. Failure to report may have significant consequences for the clinician, financial and criminal, and more importantly the patient.
Join us for this informative 90-minute webinar by the editor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Reports and recently released e-book Pediatric Trauma Care: A Clinical Reference for Physicians and Nurses in the ED, Dr. Ann Dietrich will review the critical aspects of recognizing domestic violence in all of its forms, screening questions, diagnostic evaluation, documentation and reporting requirements, and implications.
