TRUSTED FOR FOUR DECADES.
As part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, hospitals that rank in the quartile of hospitals with the highest total HAC scores will have their Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) payments reduced by 1%.
To aid their surveyors, CMS has finalized the 49-page Hospital Infection Control Worksheet for assessing compliance with the infection control Conditions of Participation, including tracers. All state and federal surveyors use the worksheets when assessing CMS compliance. Does your hospital already have tracer tools in place to match the revamped worksheet?
During this session, we'll explore the implications of CMS' publication of infection control deficiencies, along with case studies from hospitals found out of compliance.
