TRUSTED FOR FOUR DECADES.
Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder Patient Records (42 CFR Part 2) Final Rule went to effect on March 21, 2017. Previously known as the Confidentiality of Drug Abuse and Alcohol Abuse Records, this rule ensures the right to privacy and confidentiality of patients receiving treatment for a substance use disorder. This webinar will explain the mandated changes under 42 CFR Part 2 and discuss regulations with which treatment facilities must comply.
The program will cover security of medical records, patient access, disclosure and consent requirements and restrictions, treating minors and incompetent patients, closing a program, audit and evaluation, court orders, research requirements, and much more. This is a must attend program for any substance treatment providers receiving federal assistance.
